Under the hood is a 3.4L twin-turbo V6 iForce Max engine augmented by electric motors and hybrid batteries, that produces a total of 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. It also has the same 10-speed automatic ECT-i transmission with calibrated gear ratios for optimal performance. The standard drivetrain is a rear-wheel drive, while the all-wheel drive would be optional on most variants, and standard on the TRD-Pro model that has an off-roading DNA.

Off-Road Capability

The all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia is all set to conquer the tough paths and difficult terrains, thanks to the DNA and inspiration it carries from the Tundra and TRD off-roading experience. The off-road capabilities are enhanced by this sophisticated equipment and features;

1. Multi-Terrain Select for better traction and reduced wheel spin. 2. Selectable locking rear differential. 3. Downhill assist for safe descent on steep slopes. 4. Crawl control to get you out of tough situations, it acts as low-speed cruise control. 5. A Multi-Terrain Monitor to have a better view of tough-to-see spots. 6. TRD-tuned Bilstein shock absorbers and springs, and TRD-tuned FOX internal bypass shocks for unrivaled off-road experience and performance. 7. Front aluminum skid plate for added protection on dangerous trails.

Mileage and Fuel Economy

2023 Toyota Sequoia will only be offered with a hybrid power-train, which means it will have a respectable real-world fuel economy and not be so heavy on the pocket. Toyota has not released the mileage figures or estimates yet, but don’t expect it to be anything close to the RAV4 hybrid.

The Tow Tech Package offers an array of features that include, the Trailer Backup Guide to assist in backing up the SUV with a trailer attached, and Straight Path Assist that improves the steering control to keep the trailer on its intended path when reversing.
